Twenty-four years ago, my father emigrated to this beautiful nation, leaving behind his homeland, Puebla, Mexico.
Arriving here and working in the house painting and remodeling industry at a company, my father—without speaking English—worked for a couple of years. Because it’s not time that gives you experience, but rather the need and the desire to move forward, he grew to love what he did.
He returned to Mexico and, during my childhood, he told me about his experience in the United States and his work in painting. He put effort and dedication into it, but he told me back then that it was difficult for someone like us to start a company in this country. He said, “It’s hard.”
From that moment on, I didn’t give importance to those words, because everything you have in your mind, you have in your hands.
That man is my father, named Benjamín Andrade. In his honor, the company is called Benjamin’s Painting, showing through hard work and transparency that anything is possible.
